Jouzour Loubnan is an NGO whose mission is to participate in the restoration of Lebanese woodland and promote sustainable forestation mainly in arid regions. From 2008 to 2015, more than 225,000 native trees have been planted, irrigated and protected across Lebanon’s Northern and Southern regions. The Jouzour Loubnan team has three interconnected goals which are to increase the woodland area and restore degraded high mountain ecosystems; empower local communities to protect, manage, and benefit from the plantation projects; and promote environmental awareness by sensitizing the youth,  locals and decision makers to save Lebanon\’s natural resources and its forests.
